When trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle you also want to be conscious of the seasonings and additves you are using on your food. Not all seasoning promote a healthy lifestyle. Today I am telling you all about several of the seasonings that I use to make sure my food is flavorful. Many times it can be a mind thing as well. If you are used to seasoning with sugar, tons of salt, high fructose syrup ketchups, high bad fat mayo, then of course certain healthy seasoning might not taste the best at first. Introduce them slowly and eventually you will get used to the taste. Your body and taste buds are smart, they will adapt. You will begin to think that certain healthy lifestyle seasonings are amazing just give your taste buds time to adjust.
Several of Tatiana’s Favorite Clean Eating Seasonings:
- Cayenne Pepper
- Mrs. Dash
- Sugar Free Syrup (preferrably one sweetened with stevia or lo- han guo)
- Balsamic Vinegar
- Vanilla Extract
- Lemons (lemon juice)
- Limes (lime juice)
- Coconut Extract
- Lo-Han Guo
- Low Sodium Soy sauce or terriyaki sauce( very sparingly)
- Seeing as how you should be using a good fat with every meal, you can also use them as ways to add flavor to your food especially coconut oil and avocado’s.
Using creamy dressing and sauces can add hundreds of calories to a meal that should have been low in calories. If you must use fatty dressings remember to always ask for them on the side and dip your fork into the dressing and then pick up your food, so that you get a taste with every bite.
