1. Chocolate Banana Smoothie
Mix together a banana, cacao powder, and your milk of choice (I use unsweetened vanilla almond milk) for a delicious smoothie that tastes so rich it’ll feel indulgent. Add in stevia or your sweetener of choice to taste.
*Add in peanut butter for a thicker consistency, healthy fats, and even more deliciousness
*Freeze your banana before blending for a thicker, ice cream-like consistency
2. Chocolate Oatmeal
Mix cacao powder into your oats or the use the nibs as a topping to satisfy your sweet tooth while providing a delicious, filling, and nutrient-packed breakfast!
3. Healthy Hot Chocolate
I like to heat up almond milk and stir in cacao powder for a low-calorie, hot beverage that delivers all the sweet satisfaction of traditional hot chocolate with none of the guilt.
4. Chocolate Popcorn
Simply open a bag of pre-popped kernels or pop your own. Then, sprinkle cacao powder over top for a salty-sweet snack. Or, you can mix in nibs for a sort of make-shift trail mix.
*Spray the popcorn with butter spray or spray oil before sprinkling in order to ensure the powder sticks
*If the cacao is too bitter for your liking add a dusting of sweetener over top (I also like to add cinnamon)
5. Chocolate Almonds
Just as with the popcorn, dust your nuts (they don’t have to be almonds) with the powder for a satisfying snack
